Erano cosi eccitati! Grazie Italia!

Soon we're hoping to travel to Italy for our first overseas project..... we just need a client overseas first.... Any takers?

The title: Abitare in un grattacielo di Miami. translation: Living in a skyscraper in Miami.

ERREZ Design gets national recognition!

ERREZ Design has gotten national recognition from one of the most popular on line design magazines, Desire to Inspire.

Reader comments include:

"Gorgeous! Great use of color and pattern."

"I love the picture in the living room! It's like organized confetti and I think it's fantastic. That corner wall is also great with the patchwork look. In fact, the texture all the way through the house is lovely!"

Cuban tile amazing

The handmade cuban tiles are going up and already look vibrant and fun....

Each tile is a re-claimed unique piece and deserved careful placement in the overall pattern. We call it ‘controlled randomness’. We carefully created the layout of the tile pattern by laying out all the tiles in the back yard and after arranging them and re-arranging them and re-arranging them the result is a perfect random arrangement! We labeled each one on the back with a numeric value relating to its place within the grid on the wall. Thankfully the installer was incredibly patient and willing to with our madness. He even lovingly drew the grid on the wall.

Stay tuned.....

60 year old wood floor reveled!

A delicate and careful process of restoring the original 60 year old wood floors is starting to yeild a rewarding outcome....

Kitchen construction Progress

Construction is under way at the Winslow residence.....

Demolition reveled several surprises including 7, yes 7, layers of vinyl covering the beautiful original wood floor that we intend to restore.

All the old drywall has been removed and the wall is ready for new wall board and then white subway tile (after restoring the original 60 year old window molding).

Out with the old, rotting, fire damaged, wood door and in with the new, beautiful, hurricane glass, door. It wasn't an easy install. The existing walls of the 60 year old house put up a bit of a fight.

More to follow as construction progresses. Stay tuned.....

High rise oasis

We've recently completed a project in Miami's ICON Brickell for a well known Miami socialite couple.

We made this straw art particularly for this white on white hallway.  We made it using clear straws that are each hand sewn together. This sculpture infused contrast and drama into an all white space without the use of color. Have you ever stopped to look at a pile of straws?
